Hello! I’m Jodie (she/her) 🫐🫧🍵🎐🪷, a lover of serene digital + physical experiences.

Currently a sophomore pursuing a dual degree in Statistics and Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University.

As a designer and researcher, I am constantly seeking ways to push creative boundaries with data-driven insights. I’m especially passionate about crafting playful, intuitive, and innovative designs that are not only delightful to use, but also transform the way people interact with technology and one another. To do this, I always love hearing different perspectives and challenging myself to approach problems from new angles!

How did I get here? My design journey.

As an ambitious and curious child, I had always dreamed of doing everything. I wanted to run my own tea shop to host afternoon tea parties with my friends, create video games for my brother and me to enjoy, and become a medical expert to help my parents overcome their health challenges. Though I couldn't do it all (yet…), I discovered that at the heart of my dreams was my love for connecting with others. And that’s when I found my place in design, the perfect combination of everything I loved.

In my free time, I’m…

  • 👩‍🍳 Cooking up some dishes for my friends and me to enjoy family-style

  • 🎧 Jamming out to Frank Ocean, Daniel Caesar, Laufey, and so many other amazing artists

  • 💵 Learning about personal finance and credit cards

  • 🍓 Whisking up ceremonial grade matcha for my daily strawberry matcha latte

  • 🏴‍☠️ Trying to catch up to the latest episode of One Piece (only 200 episodes behind…)
